Do you have individuals that are on legal hold at your company and their content needs to be preserved within your integrated platforms? If yes, you will want to create active Data Holds prior to implementing a Retention Policy.
If you have a large amount of individuals on legal hold and you need to import existing individuals into Aware Data Hold, please follow these instructions.
1. Navigate to Aware Data Hold
2. Select Create a Hold
3. Add the Content Author email address, provide a clear description and select the appropriate Content Platform
Note: Data Holds can only be created per a single individual.
Hint: multiple people may have access to the Aware Data Hold application, make sure your description clearly defines the hold.
4. Once complete select Create Hold and repeat as necessary
