Spotlight

Spotlight Groups - Azure Active Directory (AAD)

With the release of Azure AD Attributes into Spotlight Groups, Aware provides the ability to gain insights on specified sets of users beyond platform groups by including Azure AD Attribute values. In the first phase of this feature, users can integrate with Azure’s Office location Attribute which is known as physicalDeliveryOfficeName (Office Location). What Aware defines as a “group” are the different values entered from a customer’s Active Directory, field: OfficeLocation.

  • Spotlight Groups Tab = Office (Azure AD Field)
  • Group = Value entered in this field (ex: Cincinnati, Tampa, San Francisco)

Monitoring

Monitoring Permissions

Advanced Monitoring permissions will create an environment where only Aware users that have permissions to specific Policies will be able to view the Rules and Events that are triggered within those Policies. There will be multiple different levels of access, enabling scenarios where users could have read-only access versus being a Monitoring Admin.

Aware Admins can edit user permissions within system settings and choose Monitoring Admin, Creator, Event Manager or No Access

What will happen to those with existing Monitoring permissions, today?

  • Aware Admins will be given the Monitoring Admin permission. This matches their existing level of permissions today.
  • A user with the Create and View Policies box checked today will become a Creator if they are not already an Aware Admin. This user will have Creator access to all of the existing policies at the time of permissions migration. However, they will not have permissions to new policies, unless the user created the policy or was invited to the policy.
  • A user with the View Policies and Events box checked today will become an Event Manager if they are not already an Aware Admin and the user does not have the "Create and View Policies" box checked. This user will have Event Manager access to all of the existing policies at the time of permissions migration. However, they will not have permissions to new policies, unless they are invited to the policy.
