How to Upload a Survey

By examining and interpreting open-ended survey answers, organizations can dive deeper than traditional quantitative analysis, going beyond simple counts and percentages to understand the nuance of opinions, experiences, and motivations.​

Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to upload your open-ended survey results.

  1. An Aware System Admin must create the Generic Platform from the System Settings > Integrations tab and users with the Upload Data permission will be able to upload CSVs of survey data underneath the already created platforms.
  2. In order for users to be able to upload CSVs an Aware System Admin must ensure Users have Upload CSV Data as a Permission from RBAC.

3. Once a user has access to Upload Data they will now have the app in their left hand nav.

4. User will select the appropriate Platform that has been created for their tenant and will be able to upload their CSV of Generic Survey Data.

Note: Each CSV will live under an already added platform

5. Determine the name Display Name and if you would like this data to be considered Public vs. Private 

6. Upload will begin processing and once successful, can be found underneath the platform it was uploaded to.

Note: A platform can be thought of as the Survey provider and the upload can be the specific Surveys.

7. This data can currently be leveraged in Custom Reporting to run reports on specific surveys, the entire survey platform or the survey platform + other integrated data sets.

  • From the Content Platform Audience Type, a user can run a report on the entire Survey Platform, like a Qualtrics or Glint.
  • Sources are determined in System Settings when uploading each CSV. Screen shot below showcases how Surveys will show when choosing to run Custom Reports.
