Custom Reporting - Display Audience Insights by People Sets

We are excited to introduce a powerful enhancement to our custom reports that allows users to gain deeper insights into their organization based on their custom People Sets. This feature provides users with a more customizable way to segment their organization — such as: location, division, leader, tenure, etc. Making these insights meaningful for how users prefer to report on their organization.

Feature Highlights:
  • People Set values show for both Custom Topic and Custom Audience reports
  • Users can run reports on any audience; this new people set chart only segments and groups the data in a table based on people set values — it doesn’t filter the data by people set.
  • User will opt-in to adding this as a checkbox when building their report and specifying which people sets to include. They can choose up to 5 People Sets - each their own tab in the reportimage-png-Jan-17-2024-06-56-54-5791-PM
  • The report will display the selected people sets (e.g. department) with people set values (e.g. engineering) ranked by message count and shows the sentiment by message count. The layout will resemble the Groups page with tabs that users interact with today.

Signal

Audience and User Classifications - External Targeting

Aware Signal now allows rules to target different audiences, and different content author types  with a focus on internal vs external users (think Slack Connect channels/guest users, Workplace Multi Company Groups, shared Teams etc.)

You can think of Global Source Type as who can see the content

and think of Content Author Type  as who authored the content

  • This allows our customers to create more meaningful Signal rules that trigger on content when it matters most - meaning now you can set up a rule to say “Alert me when customer information was shared in Slack, but only if it was shared with people who don’t work here because I trust our employees but I don’t trust external folks with that information.” Or “it’s okay if a guest user shares x type of file with us, but my internal employees should not be sharing that type of file”
  • As well, for operational and employee experience related Signal rules, this allows end users to filter out audiences / content authors that aren’t meaningful to the overall feedback loop the user may be trying to create
