Password Detection
The new Password Detection rule trigger in Signal is powered by a machine learning model that works to identify messages where a password is being shared within a collaboration platform. These specific detectors will look for additional types of secrets, social security numbers, credit card numbers, routing numbers, and account numbers as well as incorporating a credit card image detection rule trigger that will identify scans and images of credit cards. This will unlock enhanced results for Signal end users who are concerned about potential misuse of collaboration platform messaging through more timely alerts, additional matching capability and ease of use/flexibility when setting up policies to monitor for sharing of sensitive data.
Time of Day Trigger Condition
Time of Day Signal Trigger Condition is now live for all. It can be used to monitor messages that are sent during a specific time period (e.g. middle of the night). End users configure the condition with a start time and an end time and can do so in 15-minute increments. Times are in UTC to accommodate a geographically distributed workforce. We strongly recommend this trigger condition be used in conjunction with other criteria or a well-defined rule audience to ensure it doesn’t create unnecessary event volume.
Language Trigger Condition
An additional Language option (“Other”) is now available in Signal. This will allow users to detect when a language is being spoken that is outside of a specific set of languages their employees are “allowed” to use or within the bounds of what the customer would expect.
For example, an employer in Quebec may want to know if employees are using a language other than French or English. They would select all the options available in the condition and leave English and French unchecked.
