Overview
A People Set is a group of individuals that you create to gain deeper insights on segments of your organization that are meaningful to you.
There are two types of People Sets available in Aware:
-
An integration of Aware with Azure Active Directory (AAD) groups.
-
COMING SOON --> A customized group of people that you define using a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file. The People Sets defined by the CSV file do not depend on an Active Directory integration, they can include all collaborative platforms and sources.
How to View the Available People Sets
To display the available People Sets, you must be an Aware Administrator and have access to System Settings.

Custom Reporting with People Sets
All of the analyses in the Topic or Audience Report results will be based on the users in the People Group that you selected for your report.
People Set Examples
Some organizations will segment their employees into many different departments, with each segment reporting to a different leader. Typically, these segments are defined differently than their collaboration platform groups. They are- For example if your organization has only one designated Engineering segment within your collaboration platform, but there are multiple sub segments within that all have different managers. Leveraging People Sets could help your organization better understand the entirety of the Engineering Segment, as well as identify similarities and differences across the sub segments and management.
- For an example if your organization is running a company-wide initiative and you have employees in Texas AND California, you can utilize People Sets to compare how the initiative is resonating with both locations.
- Another example would be if your organization has a legal investigation at one of their office/store locations, they can leverage People Sets to create a Legal Hold on that specific location. This would be important if your organization has an existing Retention Policy that is set to purge content.
