Selecting Rule Actions

The final step of Rule creation is to select Actions, this is optional as an Event with detail will automatically populate for review within Aware. Selecting an Action can help coach employees on best practice, delete zero tolerance content or notify

Add an Action:

Notify: Use the Notify Action to email an Aware or non-Aware user that would like to be informed when an event is triggered. Example, delegate event Signal to another individual that had a special request for Aware.

Slack Notification: If you have a Slack integration you are able to send a notification about Signal events to an individual Slack user or a workspace. When setting up a rule, users can select a channel or individual to send the event notification to. Users have the option to hide event content to keep flagged messages in Aware only.

Prior to turning on Slack Notifications in Aware you will need to take the following steps:

  1. Identify the channel or create the channel where you want the Aware alerts to populate
  2. Add the “Aware” bot to the channel
  3. Create the Policy/Rule combination to alert the aforementioned channel

Note: Once the Aware bot is added to the Slack channel it will take at least 2 hours for the channel to populate in Aware for notification action.

Delete from platform: This is a hard delete off of the connected Content Platform. The delete should happen in near real time (within a matter of minutes). The deleted content will still be view-able as an Event in Signal and accessible via Aware Search and Discover.

Tombstone content on Slack platforms: If you have a Slack integration you are able to select the Tombstone option to temporarily remove event content on Slack platforms until it has manually been reviewed by an Aware user.

Notify content author: Coach the employee on collaboration best practice. Automatically email the content author with a message specific to the violation.

Skip this step or select desired Actions and Save and Close
